| Camping Trip With Bill - June 2009Home
Our first campsite with my "Taj Mahal" in the San Mateo Mountains (It never did rain the whole trip, just a short drizzle)
Aspens
An antelope ran beside me for a while. I finally slowed down and went across the road in front of me.
The Very Large Array (VLA) near Socorro, NM. A major system of radio telescopes.
Lot's of antelope on this trip
Snow Lake in Catron County, NM
The dam, middle right
View from the campground (we didn't camp here)
I remember a couple years ago a fire near Snow Lake. I had no idea it was so devastating.
Our campsite at Willow Creek campground right by the creek
Part of the town of Mogollon, NM
The original mine from the 1800's
At Mule Creek, NM in the national forest. There was an A-Frame house here that used to be used in secret by JFK to allow him to visit with some of his "friends". It was torn down a couple years ago to develop, but they never did it. It should have been made a historic site.
An old hippie bus in a very isolated canyon
An old hippie bus and an old hippie
Last night, Bill's campsite at the City of Rocks in NM. One of our favorite places.
