This is the Parthenon on the Acropolis in Athens. The person walking up the stairs shows just how big the columns are. I always thought the columns were maybe a foot wider than a human shoulder to shoulder. This structure is enormous!
This is the view from across our hotel balcony, and is common throughout Athens.
Here is Elayne on our hotel balcony with the Acropolis in the background. You can just see a hint of the Parthenon.
