| Ouray, Colorado Vacation August 2007Home
At the Mesa Verde Park Campground, a very tame deer. Melissa named her Bobofet.
She adores Triscuits.
Long House cliff dwelling.
In the back of the cliff dwelling, water seeps through the rock from above and accumulates. The reason they can live in the side of the cliff. A loft for storage or a lookout.
A carved hand print center, lower right.
A modified Army Ambulance in Ouray, CO.
Ouray side street.
The creek that flowed right by our camp at the Ouray KOA.
Box Canyon Falls. Enclosed with rock and very loud.
I came, I saw, I took pictures.
View of Ouray.
Ascended a forest road.
Lots of mining ruins from the 1880's.
Telluride, CO ski lift.
Had a snack at a Cafe in Telluride.
We took the lift to the top, but we thought it would stop up there. It didn't. It went down the other side before we had a chance to get out. Since we didn't get off at the top they forced us to get out at the bottom of the other side because we "weren't supposed to ride the lift over and over". So we looked around for a while and rode it back.
Looks like a good idea.
Our campsite the last night by the Animas River.
Our view that night.
