| Priest Lake 2005HomePriest Lake in northern Idaho and Spokane, WA ...
This is Drake Hotel. A fascinating, well maintained old hotel in Spokane.
Some photos from its heyday

Priest Lake
These are the cabins we stayed at
This is the Thorofare, the gateway to Upper Priest Lake. It's shallow, and one must go slow
Ahead is a canoe with 2 humans and 3 dogs. The dogs were enjoying the ride and allowing the humans to chauffer them around. I wish I'd gotten a close-up picture of them.
You can see how shallow the water is entering the thorofare, then it gets deeper
One of the many beaches we landed at and explored
Papoose Island. I'd love to camp on it
Indian Creek, flowing into Priest Lake
Hill's Resort Restaurant. I can't say anything but excellent
This is a lightning storm while we dined. Magnificent experience (the wine didn't hurt)
One of the beaches I set off from and explored
A view of the lake from a rock outcropping I found
Cool plane. You should see the house that went with it

Another shot of the cabins we stayed at
The dock Greg's boat resided, second from the right
A gorgeous babe (Melissa), enjoying the calm cool water
I love catamarans. This fellow went to all the trouble to get the sails up and finally take off, when a violent windstorm hit, and he had to abort
I'm fascinated with this rock formation. There are many hiking trails in them-thar-hills
A rainbow I was lucky enough to capture
This is Huff Lake. A very small lake that was formed 13,500 years ago, during the last ice age
Granite Falls, north of Priest Lake
This is a tree in the cedar forest, an ancient grove where some are 12 feet in diameter, 2000 yrs old
Huckleberries. These are extremely abundant in the area, as well as the local restaurants
